Sunday, if Saturday was skipped, is food shopping day …
Early in the morning, when I’m still sleep, the husband will iron his clothes for next week. I used to do all the cleaning and ironing but since around 2018 I’ve been unable to do anything. I mainly wear PJs, and I buy ones that don’t need ironing. If I do wear something that needs ironing, unless it’s a simple t-shirt, which the husband will do, I iron my own bits as soon as I can after they’ve dried.
Sunday will also be the day we like to go for a local drive. It happens rarely and it’s the only time I leave the house. We do also like to go to our local pub / restaurant for a Sunday lunch, every other month; it would be weekly if I could manage it. Because of lockdown, we’ve not done this in over 18 months, but as soon as lockdown is completely over and we can dine in again, this is our first choice.
And there is always some part of each day that I meditate, usually when I wake up and I breathe through the pain until my medications do or don’t work, and I also meditate when I’m going to sleep. I tend to rely on meditation heavily to get me through things when I’m not coping with pain levels or the limitations the illness brings with it. I use the ‘calm’ app as well as the ‘headspace’ app; calm is my favourite of the two.
