Merryn Crofts (13.05.1996~23.05.2017)
21, died in May of 2017. She had been sick with CFIDS/ME for many years but the last three years of her short life were spent bedbound. She was a beautiful girl that was truly tortured with pain by her disease. Her change tortured her mother and many others as they watched how the disease tormented Merryn. As she worsened with agonizing symptoms, several physicians believed she had something psychological wrong with her. She died weighing just over 80 pounds as more than two bites would make her vomit. Two years before her death, she wrote, “Having severe ME is like trapped in your own body every single day…Spread awareness and all of us and all of those who have lost their lives.” An inquest ruled that she was killed by M.E.
