My Healing Journey 24.05.2022 …

Active Stabilisation Session (9) …

I pre-booked this session the minute we finished the Active Stabilisation Session (8) …, working it around YFC_J availability as he gets busier and busier, but also leaving enough time for my recovery, which never seems to happen these days.

I am still learning so much new and interesting health information as well as new skills and I am very eager to keep going with this part of the programme. I actually don’t think that I’ll move on from this stage of the programme as I’m not stabilising in any shape or form.

Preparation & Setting Up …

Because I no longer need to self fund I don’t get a bill, yaaay … but as soon as the session was over I did receive the details for my next appointment. We are still sticking with landline telephone calls for now.

What’s New …

Since my last session with YFC_J I have been working hard on, firstly, accessing a low dose beta blocker, and secondly, easting much less and smaller sized meals.

The beta blocker should have been easy enough as I’ve been offered one many times as a preventative treatment for migraine. However, my migraine nurse wasn’t willing to prescribe at a low dose and so I need to find another way to access them.

The smaller meals is easy when my stomach is bad but when I begin to feel even the slightest bit better I’m afraid I revert back to type. Eat a lot.

A month in bed … will probably cause household stress …

What’s Important …

I have been diagnosed with diverticulitis and I have been feeling super poorly. On top of ME I really don’t need anything more to deal with.

Things I’d like to achieve during the next few weeks: (this was written before the diverticulitis and as a result of this I haven’t achieved any of them)

    • get beta blockers
    • get anti histamines
    • spend a complete month in bed

How / What Have I Been Doing Since My Last Session …

The Active Stabilisation Session (9) …

Today, I was seriously unwell. Our session was kept to 30 minutes and I was to get off the phone and book into my GP regarding my bowel, which I did.

I’m guessing everything from our last appointment still stands for our next appointment as we didn’t really discuss anything but my bowel and digestive issues.

    • get beta blockers
    • get anti histamines
    • spend a complete month in bed

After The Active Stabilisation Session …

I rang the GP straight after our session ended. I have booked my annual bloods and I also have a telephone appointment for the 07.06.2022, which can be brought forward to a same day appointment any day I feel it becomes more urgent by ringing at 08:00 in the morning.

The Here & Now …

I feel relieved we didn’t talk for too long. I am also relieved that I rang the GP as soon as we finished as I am sure there is something quite wrong with my bowel and digestion, I just need pushing to take care of myself as I get quite sick of always always being unwell.

The Day After …

Nothing to say … I am just too poorly …

What Next …

Once my bowel is in the GP process, I will try to get another GP appointment to discuss the beta blockers. I have set myself a reminder to do this the day after my ‘bowel and digestive issues’ appointment.

I will document as much information as I can in the next blog post in ‘my healing journey’. Please be aware that any information I share will always follow data protection guidelines and will never be enough for you to substitute it for your own programme
